The Wallace Brothers

Performing songs about sleeping in a car, being broke, non-conformity, love so strong it hurts, joy, traveling the world, and spending the night in the pen, The Wallace Brothers Band lives the life they sing about. Their wanderlust and love of all forms of music can be heard in their music and lyrics.

The Wallace Brothers Band can be described as psychedelic-country or folk-rock music, but their repertoire digs deep into the world of rock and roll, bluegrass, jazz, R&B and soul music.

The band has had the honor of working with and/or sharing the stage with Robert Hunter and Tom Constantine of The Grateful Dead, David Bromberg, Larry Campbell (Bob Dylan), Rusted Root, The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Ricky Skaggs, MOE., Mickey Melchiando and Claude Coleman (Ween), Evan Dando of The Lemonheads, Leon Rhodes of The Ernest Tubb Texas Troubadours, Railroad Earth, Cabinet, Frog Holler, Junior Brown, and many more.

Mike McMonagle

Just a tall guy with a mustache & a guitar. he plays songs that he writes as well as songs that other people have written. his music has been described as “folk” and “americana.” he sometimes has a other people play with him, an outfit that is known to by a different name for each occasion but usually answers to “the houston roosters.” otherwise, he plays alone. and he’s ok with that.
