The Vivien Leigh Documentary

The Vivien Leigh Documentary (VLD) was born out of the pairing of a soulful singer, Hadassah Wilson with a free improv band, comprised of Scott Bookman and Ron Leik on guitars, Joe Spurlock on upright bass and Matt Blank on drums. Together, they explore the hallmark sounds of rock, jazz, soul and blues, creating original music that transcends the expectations of these genres, paired with heartfelt lyrics culled from life and love. The emotion may be raw, but their performances reveal the bandmates’ sense of humor and retain the infectious energy of their improve roots.

Andrew Whitman

Andrew Whitman is a singer/songwriter from Philadelphia, PA. His influences range from the chill beach rock of Jack Johnson to the gritty folk rock of Brandi Carlile. In 2009, Andrew released his debut album The Beat of Life.

Since releasing The Beat of Life, Andrew went to college, became a teacher and track coach, and got married to his amazing wife Libby. He incorporates all of these passions and experiences into his unique style of songwriting.

In the last few years, Andrew and his band have honed their craft at classic Philadelphia venues like the North Star Bar, Milkboy Philly, and The Fire, while playing with veteran artists such as Pete Francis of Dispatch. Andrew is now signed with Blixyz Records and released his latest album Wake Up in June of 2017.
