Tellus360 presents a series of innovative and thought-provoking workshops designed to put your creativity to work. Writers of all abilities are invited to join us for three distinctly unique evenings of writing both prose and poetry, in which we take a hands-on approach to the exploration of different techniques, styles, and creative ways to approach the practice of writing. If you’re already a writer, these workshops will give you fresh perspectives and a new set of tools. If you’re new to writing, you’ll learn that it’s not always a matter of Dos and Don’ts, but an exploration process, enjoyed for its own sake!

The suggested age range for this workshop is 16 yrs +

Registration Fees: $15 per class, OR a special reduced price of $30 to register for the entire series!

Jennifer Hill, Thursday May 16th, 7-9pm

Jennifer Hill is the author of six books of poetry and two books of prose including A Girl’s Pocket Guide to Poetry and NO L. She is an editor and designer at Paper Kite Press, an independent press devoted to poetry. When she isn’t writing, she can be found spinning with a hoop, and encouraging others to try. She can be found online at actsofjennius.com.

The Altered Page – an Exploration in Visual Poetry

An Altered Page is a variation of the Altered Book – focusing on one page of a discarded book. By highlighting select words in the text of a page we will create new meaning with the found words, and add to that meaning with imagery.

Please bring any old photographs or images that you might want to use and any supplies and tools that you enjoy using i.e. colored pencils, special pens, threads, etc. Jennifer will supply discarded books, and various art supplies for use.

This workshop specifically coincides with Literarily: Design & the Written Word, an exciting new exhibit on display in Gallery360 from April 24th – May 19th!
