It’s an all out assault on your senses with the funk, the whole funk, and nothin’ but the funk with The Royal Noise.
The Royal Noise
Founded in 2010, The Royal Noise forges a fusion of sinewy funk, gritty jazz, psychedelic rock, throwback grooves and a modern sonic palette, reminiscent of Herbie Hancock and Lettuce, with the dance/jam sensibilities of such acts as Umphrey’s McGee and Phish.
With influences ranging from jazz, funk, blues and rock and roll, Hambone Relay redefines the modern organ trio with their own brand of high-energy live music.
The Philadelphia-based trio draws their inspiration from such organ greats as Jimmy Smith and Billy Preston while combining funky grooves and bold guitar lines in the same vein as Jimmy Herring and The Meters. Staying true to their jazz roots, Hambone Relay’s live shows are a mixture of danceable grooves, psychedelic overtones and improvisational jams that are sure to leave you wanting more.
