TableTop Sessions continue on with the much-anticipated return of Carsie Blanton! We were fortunate to have Carsie play on our stage a year ago – seriously, it was exactly one year ago! Since then, Ms. Blanton has been a busy little bee, recently wrapping up a successful Kickstarter campaign to produce a new album featuring a cast of jazz heavy hitters and a whole lotta sass.

Kicking off the night is Central PA singer-songwriter Katy Glorioso.

Remember, 100% of ticket sales at our TableTop Sessions go directly to our artists! And tickets are limited, so make sure you snatch yours up before the event. We cannot guarantee there will be day-of sales at the door, and, given last year’s packed house, we totally expect this one to sell out…

In the realm of DIY artists, New Orleans-based singer/songwriter Carsie Blanton is as much of a trendsetter as she is a renegade. She’s as outspoken as she is well-spoken. She’s a provocateur. She’s as independent as they come. But best of all, she’s a damn good songwriter, adorable entertainer, and downright fun person to interact with. She’s played NPR’s venerable Mountain Stage, toured with friend and producer Oliver Wood (The Wood Brothers), and has received all sorts of praise from no-named songwriters like Paul Simon, Loudon Wainwright III and John Oates. (Who even ARE those guys?)

Whether playing with her full band or performing in a stripped-down setting alone at her keyboard, Katy Glorioso‘s commanding-yet-calming affect is well on display. Over the past year, Katy has grown considerably in her songwriting, releasing her debut album Fine and Foolish in May 2012 with visits to Philly’s World Cafe Live, Harrisburg’s Abbey Bar and many a stage and house concert in between. Performing as a duo with bandmate and manager Chris Flegal, we’re excited to finally feature Katy at Tellus360 for what will undoubtedly be an intimate occasion.
