Jordan Rast

Jordan Rast Pic

Jordan Rast is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Lancaster, PA. Locally, he is best known as the co-frontman and songwriter for the band Second Hand Suits. Nonetheless, Jordan is also very active as a solo artist. At age 14, he released his first solo album, Dream Days (2008). This was followed by his second solo album, Fractured Love, in 2011.

Jordan began writing songs at age eight and hasn’t stopped since. His music provides a fresh perspective on popular melody. By utilizing strong influences from bluegrass and old time music, Jordan inspires an authentic sing-along to the dark, yet hopeful things that make us human.

Cowboy Money is Jordan’s third solo album. It tells a story of freedom and obligation through catchy, folky melody. The thirteen track album contains purely original material, with eleven songs written by Jordan Rast, and two songs co-written with Emma Rast and Tuck Ryan (Second Hand Suits), respectively. The album features many talented musicians including Dom Billet (drummer for Andrew Combs), Charlie Meunch (The Stray Birds), Aaron Trasatt (Andy Mowatt’s Steely Jam), Mark Rast (Colebrook Road and Vinegar Creek Constituency), Tuck Ryan, and more! It was recorded by Erik Sahd in The Sugartank (located in the basement of Tellus360).
