It’s a rockin’ Irish gathering with The ShamRogues and The Ogham Stones.

The ShamRogues

Several terms have been used to describe The ShamRogues in recent times. ‘Baltimore’s Best Irish Band’, ‘The Most Entertaining Group of Guys This Side of Galway’ and ‘Jesus Christ, What Just Feckin Happened’ are probably the most familiar of these terms and the ones that seem to capture the essence of this group of musicians.

Put together by Banjo player Jim Phelan from Stradbally in Co. Laois, The ShamRogues have proven themselves very popular in Maryland, with an ever-growing group of supporters on the Irish pub scene in the Baltimore area. Not a band to stand around on stage blasting out song after song, The ShamRogues like to involve their audience in a fun, lively evening of songs and stories of Ireland, and God help anyone who forgets to clap along !!!

The ShamRogues have become a household name around the area and have played alongside some of the biggest names in the business including THE DUBLIN CITY RAMBLERS and THE WOLFE TONES – when asked to describe the group Sean McGuinness of the Ramblers said “The ShamRogues are a fantastic band and it was a pleasure to be in their company, they’re keeping Irish music alive”
