Creative Works of Lancaster is pleased to announce Play Grounds: Theater on Site, a series of three original plays set in outdoor locations for spring ArtWalk, May 7 and 8. These 10-15 minute plays have been specifically written for the intersection of E Grant and Cherry Streets, Lenox Lane, and the rooftop space at Tellus360. Play Grounds is unique on the Lancaster theater scene and folks looking for something different will not want to miss this project, one that features some of the area’s finest theater artists.

This is the fourth time the project has been a Featured Stop during Lancaster ArtWalk in Lancaster City and it will be performed twice on Saturday, May 7 and once on Sunday, May 8.

The plays have been written specifically for their respective performance locations and feature area theater artists. While outdoor theater is nothing new to Lancaster, this format is unique on the Lancaster theater scene.

We are especially excited about the participation of members of Paloma Players: Lancaster Latino Theater, a bilingual theater group which has received acclaim for grappling with issues facing the Latino community in Lancaster and the United States.

Each performance of the set of plays will begin at 128 E. Grant Street and the audience will led by a traveling musician to the subsequent sites. The plays are free and open to the public.

Performance times: Saturday, May 7 @ 1 pm and 3 pm          Sunday, May 8 @ 1 pm
