“Racism and Dialogue: Is it “Passé”?

Since the recent inflammation of nationalism and racism in US politics, a new wave of voices from across the political spectrum have made numerous demands on our institutions – education, law enforcement, courts, voting and more. Some have gone so far as to say that the time for “dialogue on race” is past. But what about the actual people involved in those institutions? How does face-to-face dialogue figure into the change equation for a racially just society?”
