We had such a blast with Shovels & Rope and Foxhound that we couldn’t wait to set up another night of great music! On October 3, we are pleased and proud to welcome two amazing singer-songwriters to the Tellus360 stage:

Carsie Blanton is a young singer-songwriter who grew up in rural Virginia and landed in Philadelphia in fall of 2006. Since then, her soulful, playful, intelligent music has earned her international respect.

In January of 2012, Carsie released her third studio album, Idiot Heart, produced by Oliver Wood of the Wood Brothers. The Washington Post says “Idiot Heart is funny. It’s tender. It’s cute. It’s edgy. It’s fresh. It’s folksy without crossing into the realm of kitsch. Each track bursts with its own pithy, poignant commentary on that ficklest of organs for which the album is named.” (Jess Righthand)

Joe Fletcher is an Americana musician from Providence, RI. He joins us as a solo act, though he is most often found headlining Joe Fletcher & The Wrong Reasons. As a songwriter, Joe Fletcher remains at the helm of this country blues-based outfit while still playing many solo acoustic shows throughout the land every year.

Joe visits Tellus360 without his Wrong Reasons on his first-ever stop in Lancaster. Instead, he’ll be giving a special solo performance, promoting his new EP that is officially released on October 2, just one day before the show.
