There have been many bands throughout the history of live music. But there’s only been one The Band.

Join us for a night celebrating the life and music of Levon Helm, the iconic drummer, singer and soul of The Band who passed away in 2012 after battling cancer.

The evening kicks off with a screening of the brand new film – Ain’t In It For My Health: A Film About Levon Helm – which “focuses in on the four-time Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member after his 2007 comeback album, Dirt Farmer, brought him back to the spotlight” (from the film’s website). The screening takes place at the Ware Center at 7:30pm and tickets are now on sale.

Following the film, the action switches over to Tellus360 for a musical tribute to Levon Helm and The Band as a variety of Lancaster’s top musicians and bands join on stage. Under the coordination of Corty Byron and his band, watch as Slimfit, Vinegar Creek Constituency, The Slackwater News, Bob Esbenshade, Mike McMonagle and more pay tribute with new takes on classic songs.

Tickets are $7 and proceeds from the concert event will benefit the American Cancer Society. Bring your ticket stub from the film screening for a discount ticket ($5) at the door, or pay the full $7 for an extra donation to ACS.
