The 3rd annual Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival is coming, and we’re excited to host not one, but two stages!lrb-ng-2016

Get ready for a variety of Americana music, including blues and jazz, folk and soul with rockabilly and a taste of New Orleans music, a smidgeon of rock n’ roll and even a bit of reggae –– with more than 50 artists playing on 10 stages at eight venues, all within a few blocks of each other.

Friday, February 26

Saturday, February 27

Evolution of Sound – 3:30-5:00pm

Evolution of Sound is an evening of improvised experimental music featuring ten Lancaster musicians. The first will perform five minutes of completely improvised music. The second musician will join the first and the duo will perform for another five minutes. Then, the first musician will leave the stage and the third will musician will join the second.This rotation will continue with two musicians at a time until all ten musicians have performed. At that time each musician will rejoin the performance until the entire group is performing at once. The music will be performed continuously and the order of musicians will be randomly selected
