CortyDooJamInger – A Pre-Thanksgiving Celebration
Our pre-Thanksgiving celebration.
November 26, 2014 · 7:00pm
We kick it off with Corty Byron in the pub, then Bardledoo and Steely Jam take over in the Temple, followed by our regular Wirelessless Wednesday with DJ Salinger up front!
Steely Jam is led by Lancaster guitarist, Andy Mowatt. Experience The Andy Mowatt Trio with keys and a horn section to bring you new arrangements of classic Steely Dan tunes! Click here for videos and audio of past Steely Jam performances.
Bardledoo is an organ, sax and drum trio based out of PA. Bardledoo is a branch of funk that crosses between hip hop, fusion jazz and soul.
At 28 years old, guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Corty Byron has been active as a musician for over a decade. He released two solo projects (2011‘s Histrionic EP & 2010‘s Endless North), opened for/performed with artists like Gregg Allman, The Doobie Brothers, Dave Mason, Bruce Hornsby, The Gin Blossoms, Blackberry Smoke, Hot Tuna, Jimmy Vivino…. and has become a fixture of his hometown Central Pennsylvania music scene, as well as being a seasoned road hound, gigging his way from Manhattan to Memphis, Austin to Vegas and all points in between. In late 2011 Corty relocated to Venice, CA, and spent the following year performing up and down the coast and across the state, including venues such as The Viper Room, House Of Blues and Saint Rocke. His style has shifted from swampy vintage rock and soulful acoustic based Americana to song driven psychedelic indie pop/rock. Work has already begun on an upcoming full length album, that will feature all new original material written in the past year while on the road and living in California.
Wirelessless Wednesday w/ DJ Salinger
Wirelessless Wednesday takes over in the front room with DJ Salinger spinning chilled out reggae, classic soul, funk, Motown and more…
What is Wirelessless Wednesday, you ask? It’s where “Hump Day” goes to relax — a carefree night with DJ Salinger spinning all vinyl and Joe “Master of Disaster” Devoy and “Cosmo” Kev behind the bar.
Less cell phone. More dance.
