Cooking Meditation Workshop
A cooking experience like none other…
February 18, 2014 · 6:00pm
A workshop for people interested in a more holistic and healthy approach to food
In Cooking Meditation, we approach the kitchen much as one would engage in sitting meditation. We focus on our breath, we smell the aromas and hear the clink of bowls. We feel the weight of the tools in our hands. We attend only to the task that is before us.
As part of this workshop, participants will engage for one short period of time in meditative cooking as together we prepare all the ingredients for a healthy, fully organic vegetable soup, and then share in the experience of eating mindfully together. Afterwards, as a group, we will discuss what the experience meant to us and what it felt like.
Participants may bring their own cutting boards and knives for chopping vegetables. If you come without them, they will be provided.
Advance registration is required. Seating is limited to 20 people.
