Coed Clothing Swap for a Cause

If you’ve never been to a clothing swap before here’s how it works: Go through your closet and find at least 10 items (clothes and/or accessories) that are in fair condition, and that you wish to trade, swap, or donate. Clean ’em up, bag ’em up, and bring ’em up to the second floor of Tellus360. There will be tables set up designating what items to put where. Then the swapping begins. What makes this swap different than others is, we will also be collecting items for the women’s shelter of the Domestic Violence Services of Lancaster County (DVS), a department of the Community Action Program of Lancaster County. These will be items that they can use, as well as filling up their clothing bank (any leftover men’s clothing will also be donated).

The items they need are: mop and mop bucket, broom and dust pan, all purpose cleaner, scrub brush, dish detergent, sponges, window cleaner, disposable gloves, paper towels. Also, food Items: canned veggies, sugar, peanut butter and jelly, canned soups, instant potatoes, snack items, canned meats, canned milk, cereals, beef-a-roni, etc., pancake mix, syrup, canned fruit, pudding, jello, coffee, cake mix, cake icing.

What will make this event successful is you, whether you are looking to breathe new life into your closet, clean it out, support the woman’s shelter, or all the above. Invite your friends and see you there!
