Maisha Project & The Gathering Place proudly present:

A Night for Africa

Africa is coming to Tellus360! The Light the Future Choir will dance and sing their way into your heart. Come eat homemade Kenyan food, shop at the Out of Africa pop-up store, win fabulous raffle prizes and hear inspiring “Stories of Life.”

Have you ever wondered what your life would have been like had you been born in Africa? How would your life be different? How would it be the same?

Every day our children and families face the risk of disease, malnutrition and hopelessness. Maisha Project and The Gathering Place bring hope to the hopeless and light to the darkness in an area of Kenya where the silent epidemic of HIV/AIDS has stolen the lives of mothers, fathers and children, leaving one out of every three households headed by a child. Maisha Project and The Gathering Place exist to save lives, empower people and transform communities.

One such group at Maisha is the Light the Future Choir. They’re traveling from Kenya to Lancaster, PA to share their experience of being born in Africa. They won’t leave you with a story of despair. They want to show you the beauty of their culture. They want you to celebrate, hope and dream with them. To pray with them for a day when AIDS is eradicated, families have enough to eat and every child can attend school.

We invite you to attend this truly unique evening, A Night for Africa on First Friday, Saturday, November 3rd at Tellus360 in Downtown Lancaster. By joining us, you’ll create a platform for voices like Diana’s to be heard, and you will learn about the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS in these communities.
