A free trail run, an Irish pub and a GREAT MOVIE – Run Free: The True Story of Caballo Blanco

Join Horizons at LCDS for a free community trail run through Lancaster County Park at noon, and a gathering at downtown Lancaster’s favorite Irish pub for the area’s ONLY showing of Run Free: The True Story of Caballo Blanco. The documentary features the life of American ultra running legend Micah True and his quest to create an ultra marathon in Mexico’s Copper Canyon to promote and preserve Tarahumara running tradition. True was a main character in Christopher McDougall’s best-selling book Born to Run. 

12p – Meet at Lancaster County Park for a trail run with Born to Run author Christopher McDougall. Three distances with guides available – 3mi, 5 mi or 7 mi. – along gorgeous woodland trails.

2p – Doors open at Tellus360 (just a 5-minute drive from the trail). Pre-event features a presentation by Born to Run author Christopher McDougall and music by Ukulele Uprising! Craft beers and excellent bar food will be available for purchase. Signed books available for cash purchase.
