Proud Monkey is a group of 8 musicians with one common goal: to faithfully and accurately recreate the entire Dave Matthews Band concert experience with passion. Comprised of the some of the country’s finer musicians, each show is unique, and the band explores the music of Dave Matthews Band with energy and complexity. Singer/guitarist Dustin Switzer has been performing live for nearly 20 years, and has assembled a fully identical guitar loadout to Dave Matthews himself, so the band can perform songs unheard of before by any tribute band. The band is one of the more accomplished bands in any genre, as some of it’s members are currently instructors at the University of Pennsylvania, have recorded with Aretha Franklin and Chuck Berry, studied with Jean-Luc Ponty. Some toured the world for years playing jazz, some toured the country and sold 50,000 albums of original material, and all members influence hundreds of budding musicians in the Philadelphia/Scranton area. Proud Monkey brings a complete musical prowess unseen before. Close your eyes and you’ll feel like you’re at the Dave Matthews Band.
