A couple weeks ago, Joe invited Mayor Rick Gray to our brand new recording studio to chat. There was no set agenda, no prepared questions, no time constraints. The two simply engaged in a cool, casual discourse, on topics ranging from the mayor’s days living in Pittsburgh, Woodstock, motorcycles and, of course, the fine city that is downtown Lancaster.

As announced at last night’s fundraiser for Mayor Gray here at Tellus360, we will be releasing audio clips from the interview one day at a time, all the way up to Election Day next Tuesday. Big thanks to Mike Newman and Sugar Tank Studios for engineering and editing the interview!

In chapter one of the Interview with the Mayor series, Mayor Gray recalls moving to Lancaster on September 15, 1972 and reflects on what Lancaster has become ever since.
