Plywood Guitar? Crazy Awesome.
We just got in a new guitar from the workshop, handmade by (who else?) Steve The Guitar Guy! This gem is made from layered plywood recycled from our custom work at the Parade of Homes project as well as from a custom kitchen remodel in Annapolis, MD. All of the plywood used for the body is GreenPly premium eco-friendly plywood (which means no formaldehyde was used in treating the wood), and the hardware and neck are reclaimed from a Fender strat!
If you didn’t know before, the eco-friendly aspect actually makes it feel more rewarding when you’re jamming on this one, so stop in to the store to give it a try for yourself and instantly become 100x more awesome!

how many pieces of ply did you guys use to do the body? ive got a TON of scrap ply lying around and have been thinking about doing a guitar or bass for a while now, im just not sure what the best way to go about it would be. it looks like you’ve got some other wood besides ply in there as well? thanks ahead of time for any help!

its all about thickness. Measure your ply wood thickness of each than match it to a strat body. If your ply wood is too small length wise take another piece. If it is two small thickness wise than again take another piece until you get close to those two specs.
