Defying categorization, the music is ""what sounds good and can communicate with the audience on a deep level...it's jazz"". Dave Wilson offers high caliber, compelling, contemporary live performances, featuring top notch nationally/internationally or regionally known personnel known for their exciting improvisations, creative individualistic compositions, and unique arrangements of standards.\n\nDave Wilson has appeared at festivals, concerts, college campuses, and clubs regionally and in New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington D.C. These include Musik Fest (Bethlehem, PA), Berks Jazz Fest, Artscape in Baltimore, Central PA Festival of the Arts in State College, PA, Scranton Jazz Festival, First Friday West Chester, Manassas Wine and Jazz Festival; Jazz Clubs aside from Central PA include Chris’ Jazz Café (Philadelphia), An Die Musik (Baltimore), The Garage and Silvana (NYC),The Dave Wilson Quartet has now 7 great CDs out under their own name. \n\nThe new Dave Wilson Quartet released their fourth CD There Was Never on ZOHO Music in 2016. It reached a high of#18 in the nationwide Jazz Weekly Jazz Radio Countdown, had a great review in Downbeat Magazine and was placed in nomination for a Grammy in 2016. The fifth One Night at Chris’ was released in the summer of 2019, achieved “Chartbound” status (Top 50) on jazz radio, and garnered positive reviews. Our 6th recording, released 1/7/2022, titled Stretching Supreme (Dave Wilson Music) is a tribute to John Coltrane.
